People want to eat. People are hungry. And as followers we know they are really craving and starved to know Jesus loves them. Right before Jesus multiplies the loaves and fish, he looks over at his disciples and says -- "you feed them." (Mark 6:37) That wasn't just a statement for the disciples in that one moment, but for every disciple that would say yes to Jesus. He wants to fold us into His good work. He wants us to feed His people.
We have been given passions and giftings by our Creator. If you know how to cook burgers we need you. If you love to decorate and make flower arrangements, we need you. If you want to teach kids how to dance, we need you. If you love to set-up food tables, we need you. If you love to build stuff, we need you. If you love to fish, we need you. If you love to musically worship, we need you. If you love to teach, we need you. If you have a passion for lost youth, we need you. If you love to play games, we need you. If you love to garden, we need you. If you like to teach people how to cook, we need you. If you like to do computer stuff, we need you.
Do you understand? The things you love to do the Lord can use that to share the gospel.
We want to feed people not just physically, but spiritually. Join us as we find moments and opportunities to provide meals to families in shelters. We want to host bible studies and bring the community of Jesus to people who don't know they are welcomed into the Kingdom. If you have a dream for a personal ministry, we can help you launch into that.
But we can't do this alone. One-time events are easy. The work is in the staying. The work is in the consistent show-up to keep tending to the people until the people say yes. Showing up regularly makes a way for people to develop trust and find Jesus.
Connect with us. We need more people who want to feed others and can answer the call to go and make and STAY.
